Integrated design consulting on 10,000 sq. ft. new office wing - areas including energy and daylighting modeling; composting toilets and graywater treatment; materials selection; building envelope detailing; and mechanical/electrical/lighting systems. LEED Gold certification. Occupied 2001.

This project for one of the country's oldest environmental organizations is the first building in New England to be certified under the US Green Building Council's LEED program. The atrium columns and structure are site-harvested pines. All the building waste is treated in composting toilets and interior planters. Careful daylighting modeling and design has made this a "lights-off" building that delights its users. A central wood chip boiler heats this and all other buildings on this NH campus. Occupied 2001.

This project has won a number of awards for green design, including First Place in 2003 Northeast Green Building Awards.
